Juris Joust-2, The Inter School Moot Court Competition, a collaborative event between Kothari International School and Delhi Metropolitan Education Law School, was successfully conducted on Saturday, 19 October 2024. It has been an engaging platform for aspiring legal minds. Participants were immersed in intense debates, showcasing their legal acumen through well-structured arguments and persuasive presentations. Overall 40 teams from various renowned schools participated in this prestigious event.
Twenty students from Kothari International School participated in the Moot Court Competition. Each team presented its case with remarkable precision, reflecting the extensive research and preparation that had gone into its arguments. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as participants defended and assailed their positions with clarity, engaging in spirited discussions that highlighted various aspects of legal proceedings.
Judges and mentors provided valuable insights, guiding the participants through the intricacies of courtroom dynamics. This experience not only enhanced their understanding of legal principles but also fostered critical thinking and public speaking skills. Kothari students also brought home three awards,
The Best Female Speaker position was won by Abhishree Tripathi (9-D), the 4th Runnerup position was grabbed by Obada Ikram (9-F) and Arshdeep Singh Kalra (9-IGCSE 1), and the 5th Runnerup position was achieved by Abhishree Tripathi (9-D) and Pia Beher (9-D).
Overall, the Moot Court was a fruitful learning opportunity, allowing participants to gain firsthand experience in court proceedings. The collaboration was a testament to the importance of practical education in shaping future legal professionals.
