Life has dealt her deck again,
and how it hurts us so.
To have stolen away one so young,
Son, husband, father, and much more.
We wake up and go about our day,
Hamsters on a never-ending wheel,
Robotic, automated,
Never 'making' the time to feel!
One day a rude wake-up call,
Brings us to our knees.
Why do we wait so long?
Oh, why? Tell me, please!
For what is more important?
In this noxious rabbit race?
Are friends and family less
than the jobs we often chase?
Too late, I hope I never say,
Too late to make amends,
Too late, I hope I never feel,
For beloved family and friends.
And as I sigh upon another loss,
Wondering where to go from here,
I take stock, put things in perspective
And hold fast, hold close,
To the ones so dear.
For what if tomorrow never comes?
To let us love hard and dear,
For what if tomorrow never comes?
This seems to be a common fear.
For what if tomorrow never comes?
Will I wake up feeling joy I pray?
Will I have said that put off 'I love you'
Or will I wait yet again for another day?

This poem really made me pause and think about how easily we get caught in daily routines and forget what truly matters. I remember during a stressful study period I was so focused on deadlines that I even thought about buy dissertation paper uk just to manage everything. Reading something like this reminds me how important it is to slow down and value time with people we care about. It’s a powerful message to reflect on.
Beautiful poem. The quiet and reflective tone really stayed with me, especially the way emotions are expressed through simple lines. Pieces like this remind me how powerful thoughtful writing can be.
